SEMINOLE GROUP COLOMBIA CI, LTDA finalized an agreement for the Joint Venture and purchase of 25 different mining claims having fully granted government concessions encompassing over 125,000 acres of property in the regions of Cerrejon and Magdalena Colombia, South America The purposes of each claim having a minimum time span of 33 years, is for the purposes of exploitation and excavation of coal. After geological studies involving over 6,000 acres in Cerrejon, it was determined to have reserves in excess of ten (10) million metric tons, primarily type B coal. The remainder of the acreage has not been studied but the coal in many places is visible on the surface and mounds. From the top of the soil holding many different seams, the Cerrejon parcels appear to be the same seams and types of coal as the famous Cerrejon mine, which is adjacent “right next door to us”, which is operated in part by multi-national companies Glencore, an Drummond. This mine has been the largest producing coal mine in Colombia for many years. If you are not familiar with the Cerrejon Mining Region in Colombia, please Google the key words Cerrejon, or Glencore Coal for further details and maps that are readily available over the Internet.
At present our company is seeking to partner with other mining organizations to start mining what could become the newest and largest producing coal property in Colombia!
