Eagle Cabinetry Now Offering Recycled Glass Countertops

eagle_cabinetry_logo1Indian River Cabinets, the parent company of Eagle Cabinetry, has announced that it is now offering recycled glass countertops by Vetrazzo.  The Vetrazzo brand is a green alternative to the traditional countertops such as granite and Silestone. It is made from glass processed directly from the recycler without melting. Common uses for the Vetrazzo brand are for kitchen and bathroom countertops and table and desktops.

By adding the Vetrazzo brand to its list of products, Indian River Cabinets expands on its own green initiative. The company currently recycles its own water in their 19,000 square foot fabrication facility in Pompany Beach, Florida. The company is constantly looking for other ways to use recycled materials in its operations.

Greener is Better

We constantly don’t realize the amount of waste the each of us contributes. Every product that you buy comes from the earth and ends up back in the earth at some later point. The world has a fixed amount of natural resources, many of which are being depleted at an ever increasing rate. So as population growth greatly strains our finite resources, there will be fewer of these resources available.  Granite is one of those non-renewable resources that is typically imported from various countries throughout the world.
