The Great Equalizer

Yes, I know some people are worried about election fraud, voter fraud, votes not counting, and so on; but let us assume that nothing criminal occurs.  The act of voting takes every voter from all walks of life—Democrat, Republican, Independent, White, African-American, Hispanic, Asian-American, upper class, middle class, working class, and so on—and makes them equal in the voting booth.  The vote of the single mother who works three jobs while raising two kids is equal to the vote of the Wall Street businessman.  When done properly, the democratic process is the best form of government.  Americans deserve a “government by the people, for the people, and of the people,” and that is what we get when we vote.  The country is the people and our leaders answer to us.  So in this last week before the Presidential election, do your research and vote.

Vote.  Vote early.  Or vote on Election Day on Tuesday, November 4, 2008.
